| Bio | I came to faith in Jesus in 1980, found fellowship among other Māori similar ages, interests, and faith journey. Meeting regularly on one of our local marae and attended the only Baptist church in town. Crucial to those early days were a Māori couple/whānau, only Māori who attended the Baptist church. Their support/discipling God knew we desperately needed… it was a confusing time for us being Māori and new, Christ followers. Because everything we saw-heard-felt in Christianity was non-Māori. Setting me on a learning trajectory ‘In every context God is knowable even in the church’… I’m still learning. |
