I have been in ministry since 1992 and have gained a range of skills around leadership, crisis leadership and management, pastoral care and counselling frameworks like narrative therapy, client centric practice, Te Whare Tapa Whā, Te Wheke, Powhiri Poutama, Tuhononga Poukapa, and Reflect Learning practice. In 2018, we started Ngā Pou Amorangi (NPA) a 3-year program leadership program.
I was Kaiwhakahaere (1997-2005) of Te Whare Amorangi (TWA), the Baptist Māori ministries leadership training program that started in Pukekohe. In 1998 – 2005, TWA partnered up with Carey Baptist College. In 2000 – 04, Josie and I served as Māori pastors in a multicultural church plant in South Auckland.
In 2006, the NZ Army invited me as a chaplain, I transferred to the Reserve list in 2021 and later that year started in my current role as Pastor at Kaikohe Baptist Church.
We also own two NZ companies.
