A public lecture with Professor John Barclay
John Barclay’s monumental works on the theology of grace in Paul – originally in Paul and the Gift and then condensed in Paul and the Power of Grace – have been paradigm-shifting for scholars and pastors alike. By reading Paul’s theology of grace in light of ancient notions of gift, Barclay deepens our appreciation for and understanding of God’s grace. In this public lecture at Carey Baptist College, Barclay explores how this vision of divine grace as gift might impact our understanding of economic relationships between humans.
