| Bio | Kia ora. My name is Jo. I am a mother and a grandmother, who loves my work. I aim to have (what I call) a purposeful conversation, where subjects can be brainstormed together. Whilst my preference is to work face to face with people in my rooms, and depending on circumstances I’m open to working through video link or phone. My work hours are Monday to Thursday, 9.00am – 5.00pm between my two work sites. My background is that I have a psychology degree with a masters with counselling, but I would primarily argue that real life has rounded out the “paper” qualifications. Historically I have worked at Lifeline in clinical roles, and have been in private practice for over 12 years. My interests are around trauma, but also have experience working with grief and people bereaved by suicide. I have lots of experience working with diverse backgrounds, and generally from youth right through to all ages and stages, including family/whānau groups, and general groups. My interest in working in this area is driven by my own life story and feel as though I have a lot to provide to leaders working within the church, as I have walked a life of faith since I was quite young and now work within a very broken world. Within that broken-ness, sometimes it is difficult to see where you are placed in it as a Christian.
