| Bio | I am an experienced supervisor with additional experience in helping people subject to complaints. I recently finished general practice after 39 years. I provided over one thousand hours of counselling in my practice with supervision. I have been a medical educator for eighteen years, specialising in communication skills training; one-to one and small group reflective practice; managing ‘somatisation’ (the expression in physical symptoms of psychological distress). I had a major role in redesigning the RNZCGP communication skills training programme. I regularly provided seminars to doctors and medical educators in these areas and have several associated publications. |
