Alan Vink has worked in business, bible college teaching, consultancy and governance and most recently as Executive Director of Willow Creek Association NZ. However most of his work has been as a pastor of three Baptist churches over 23 years. Alan talks about the local church as his first love and has dedicated the rest of his life to help the local church reach its full redemptive potential.
Alongside overseeing LeadershipWorx - a church leadership and consultancy organisation, he has a few business interests along with three of his adult sons. He blogs weekly to a growing group of pastors and christian leaders in New Zealand.
He lives in Raglan with Jeanette and they have eight grandchildren. He has flunked the surfing test but loves other water based sports, reading, hanging out with mates and keeping birds.
In this Church Management Guided Learning option the following topics will be covered:
Online Skype Session: 10.30-11.30am on the last Thursday of each month.
Feedback from two 2019 participants in this Church Management Guided Learning option:
"I have just completed my final session for Lifelong Learning with Alan Vink. Alan has a really thorough knowledge in this area which is helpful for all church sizes. This Guided Learning option has been immensely practical with good resources and the discussions each month through Skype have grown in depth as we have become familiar with each other. I have picked up something every time that I have either implemented or intend to implement at the appropriate time. A big thanks to Alan and the other participants for contributing into my lifelong learning this year."
Paul Cossey, Senior Pastor, Motueka Baptist Church.
"Personally I have found the skype sessions with Alan and others who have joined to be very inspiring. Alan has provided excellent material and the skype discussions have been relevant, practical and a great place to share new ideas and learn new ways of doing things. I also appreciate that Alan gets the challenges of being a pastor of a church because he has been one."
Ingrid Shaw, Pastor, Atawhai Community Church.
