Webinar presented on Wednesday 4 March 7.30pm-8.30pm
Apologetics is often assumed to be about complex intellectual argumentation that ignores the relational experiential dimension of faith. However over the last decade there has emerged a holistic conversational apologetics, suited to our contemporary post Christian context. It’s simply about what anyone believes regarding the big questions of life and why they believe it. Mark teaches a course in apologetics at Carey and runs one day church apologetics workshops.
Mark Powell has had a long career in business, finishing as CEO of The Warehouse Group three years ago. In the Business area he has a Bachelor’s degree in Mining engineering, a Masters in Logistics and a MBA. In addition to his business roles, Mark is Chair of the New Zealand Christian Network and the Venn Foundation. Additionally, he has a Masters in Christian Apologetics from Biola University in the USA. Mark currently teaches apologetics at Carey and is on the Carey Board.
