For this webinar, we will look at what it means to be made in God’s image in light of the Genesis accounts and the New Testament. Specifically, humans seem uniquely oriented toward God and we will discuss how we can know this and what this means for how we live and treat others.
Christa McKirland is Carey’s new lecturer in systematic theology, starting in March 2020.She comes to Carey from the Logos Institute at the University of St Andrews in the United Kingdom, where she received her doctorate in analytic and exegetical theology. Christa founded and is the executive director of Logia, an organization created at the invitation of the Logos Institute to support women pursuing postgraduate theological education.
This webinar series provides a stimulating training resource for church leaders, practitioners, and volunteers. Each month a new focus illuminates topics from theology, Bible, pastoral care, mission, youth, history, and culture. The content is provided by high calibre academic researchers and practitioners of Carey’s faculty and other experts in thier field.
Each webinar is an hour long, containing 40 minutes of content, with live Q&A. These are recorded with ongoing access available online. Watch on your own, or together as a leadership team, or create a group to join together for this 8-month series. One reading (a book chapter or article) is included after each webinar to go a little deeper.
